I never thought I’d get the chance to see the original Misfits lineup reunite, let alone capture it through my lens, but Riot Fest 2016 made that happen. Glenn Danzig, Jerry Only, and Doyle Wolfgang Von Frankenstein back on stage together after decades apart—it was one of those moments in punk history that felt almost too surreal to be real.

Shooting this show felt like stepping into a time machine. The energy was pure chaos, just like you’d expect from a Misfits show, but amplified by the weight of the moment. The band tore through their set like no time had passed, and Danzig sounded stronger than ever, commanding the stage like a horror punk messiah. The massive crowd at Riot Fest felt like a giant cult, screaming every word back at the band, fists in the air, feeding off the dark energy of the night.
