Just before I took this shot, Jerry and Doyle turned to me and said, “This one’s for mom.” That simple, honest sentiment added so much meaning to the moment—it was about more than just the music; it was family.

Afterward, I sent a copy of this photo to Doyle so he could pass it along to their mom. Knowing it became part of their family story made this capture all the more special for me. It’s a reminder that even amidst the chaos of a legendary punk rock reunion, there’s a deep bond that transcends the stage.

The Chicago show was the second time Glenn Danzig, Jerry Only, and Doyle reunited on stage since 1983, joined by Dave Lombardo on drums and Acey Slade on guitar. The atmosphere at Douglas Park was electric, with fans singing every word to the Misfits’ iconic songs.
